Updated Facial skincare Products 2016

Hello my parfaitly beautiful people. Its been a minute (lets not even get into how many people have yelled at me for not updating my blog) I have been meaning to do this post on my facial skincare products cos I have changed up quite a bit of products. Sometime last year my skin went into major over drive. I was breaking out left right and center and I did not know what to do. To be honest I was mildly depressed about it and it greatly contributed to my not doing picture tutorials and even videos.
Long story short, I decided to edit my products and see what wasn't working anymore.Without rambling on about my facial sufferings let proceed to the new MVPs lol
This post is just a brief information about the products I currently use and how I use them not an in-depth review of the products. I will post the information on where I got the products at the end of the post.

                                                                      CLEANSERS.
Cleansing Squad

Natural Nigerian Lemon, Lime & AHA Black Soap.

Natural Nigerian Lemon, Lime & AHA Black Soap
Now black soap was the very first thing I noticed was helping clear up my acne and blemishes. I usually buy from the women that sell the native black soaps in the market but I ordered this natural Nigerian brand when I ran out and couldn't go to the market. I love that this contains Lemon and lime which are natural skin brighteners and help to fade acne spots and also alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) which is an exfoliant.
I use this one days when I want heavy duty cleaning or days when I have worn quite a bit of makeup or when I do my at home facials.
Avoid using this if you have open scars or cuts as it stings quite a bit.

Clean & Clear Advantage Clear & Soothe Foaming Wash
This is a great cleanser for acne prone skin. I love that this gets the job done without drying out my skin. I use this every other day and also on days I use the black soap just to combat the dryness from the black soap.

L'Avyanna Acne And Blemish Control Face Wash.
Now this has got to be my all time favorite face washes. I had a mild heart attack (okay I am exaggerating) when I went back to restock and was told they were out of stock. But seriously this changed my life. I use it every single day and it really gets my pores clean and helps control my acne flare ups. I also love that it contains the essential oils "Natuouli and Patchouli" which are great for the skin and also has the most relaxing aroma.

                                                                   EXFOLIATION.
Exfoliation Squad.

Clean & Clear Morning Burst In-shower Facial.
This is one of those exfoliators I will never get rid of no matter what. This baby goes in and scoops everything out (well it does for me). I use this only on days I do my at home facials because it works best with steam and I usually steam my face with this on. The steam helps to really dissolve the product into the pore to maximize the exfoliation process.

St Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub.
Oldie but definitely a goldie in my books, I love this scrub. I use this every single day and it just does a really good job. I also love that it also comes in a tiny 28g tube which is perfect for travel and also gifting my clients.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Natural Facial Scrub.
I also love this scrub for days when I feel I need a deeper exfoliation. I also like the minty tingly feeling it gives. The beads are slightly harder than the St Ives apricot scrub but still gentle on my skin.
L'Avyanna Mineral Black Mud Face Mask.
This is the best face mask I have used in a long time. In my previous skin care product post I talked about the Queen Helene Mud mask and how much I love it. Don't get me wrong, I still do love it but this mask is a game changer for me. I really improved my skin and helped me with my blemishes. I also love that it doesn't completely dry crusty on my face.

                                                               EVERYTHING ELSE.

Tea Tree oil, Boots Vitamin C night cream, Eye cream, Sun protection SPF50.
Dr Organics Pure Tea Tree Oil.
Tea Tree Oil: I never fully understood the power of tea tree oil until I started breaking out. Now i tend to pick my spots a lot cos I just didn't have the patience to wait for it to go away on its own. But now I just apply the oil at the sign of any potential breakout and by the next day its much better if not gone. Tea Tree oil also helps to tighten the pores and its also beneficial to oily skin.
If you have sensitive skin please dilute with a carrier oil. (coconut or Jojoba oil will work fine).

Boots Vitamin C Intensive Night Cream.

Boots Vitamin C Intensive Night Cream.

Boots Vitamin C Intensive Night Cream: Even though this says "night cream" I pretty much use it morning and night. I love that it contains Vitamin C and it leaves my skin hydrated without feeling heavy. It also doesn't break me out which is a huge plus.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Eye Cream.
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Eye Cream: Its common knowledge that the skin around the eyes are the most delicate and as we age, fine lines and wrinkles starts to form in those areas. I recently started using this and have seen a slight improvement even though I still think I need to use it for longer before giving my final verdict.

Fair & White Sunscreen Cream SPF50

Fair and White Sunscreen Cream SPF50: Living in Nigeria, we all know how hot it gets, so a sun protection cream is highly essential. I have been using this sun cream for a little over a year and I really love it. It doesn't clog my pores or break me out and it does a great job.

Face Squad.
So there you have it. The journey to great skin never ends and so far, these products have been awesome to me. Let me know in the comment box what skincare products you are currently loving.
